Privacy Policy

1. Overview

CodeHouse is an offline encryption tool. Your files are encrypted with keys derived from your FIDO2 hardware security key and are stored only on your own device, in locations you choose. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles — which, by design, is almost nothing.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

CodeHouse does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers, because we operate no servers. Specifically:

No accounts or registration of any kind;
No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking;
No advertising or third-party trackers;
No access to, or transmission of, your files, vault contents, PINs, or encryption keys.

3. Local Data Storage

All data processed by CodeHouse remains on your device:

Vault files (.vault) are encrypted files stored in the app’s Documents directory or a folder you choose. They never leave your device unless you copy or share them yourself.
App settings (such as your last used folder, language, and license status) are stored locally in the app’s private storage.
Temporary preview files created when previewing documents are deleted immediately when the preview closes.

4. Hardware Security Keys

CodeHouse uses FIDO2 hardware security keys (e.g., YubiKey, CanoKey) to protect your vaults. All cryptographic operations happen inside the hardware key; private secrets never leave it. The app never reads, stores, or transmits your key’s internal secrets or your FIDO2 PIN.

5. In-App Purchases

The optional Pro upgrade is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple (App Store / StoreKit). We do not receive or store your payment information, Apple ID, or transaction details. Purchase verification happens on-device through Apple’s frameworks.

6. Network Access

CodeHouse does not communicate with any server operated by us. Network activity is limited to Apple’s own services (e.g., the App Store) when you buy or restore the Pro upgrade.

7. Children’s Privacy

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

应用设置（如最近使用的文件夹、语言、许可证状态）存储在应用的私有本地存储中。
预览临时文件在预览文档时创建，预览关闭后立即删除。

4. 硬件安全密钥

CodeHouse 使用 FIDO2 硬件安全密钥（如 YubiKey、CanoKey）保护您的保险箱。所有密码学运算都在硬件密钥内部完成，私钥永不离开硬件。应用不会读取、存储或传输您密钥内部的秘密或您的 FIDO2 PIN。

5. 应用内购买

可选的专业版升级是一次性非消耗型内购，完全由 Apple（App Store / StoreKit）处理。我们不会接收或存储您的支付信息、Apple ID 或交易详情。购买验证通过 Apple 的框架在设备上完成。

6. 网络访问

CodeHouse 不与我们运营的任何服务器通信。网络活动仅限于 Apple 自己的服务（如 App Store），且仅在您购买或恢复专业版时发生。

7. 儿童隐私

本应用不向任何人收集数据，包括儿童。

8. 本政策的变更

如本政策发生变更，更新版本将发布在本页面并标注新的生效日期。
